The Earth.......melting away

Hey everybody. Hope you’re having a great day, because I’m going to add something to it.

As you well know, the gap in the ozone (hope you know what that is) is growing. Cases of skin cancer and eye cataracts are now more than ever. But does anyone give it even a spark of a thought? I mean, you all might probably be watching ‘My name is Earl’, but the day isn’t far away when your names won’t be worth a wooden nickel. Wake up people, we’re amidst an era of chaos!

‘Pollution!’That’s what people always yell out, but the word vanishes the instant it comes out. Cars, cigarettes, deforestation, littering and garbage……it all points to one direction. Pollution. All people do to garbage is to take it, and dump it somewhere along with other garbage. In my point of view, we could a whole world out of our so called ‘garbage'. Nuclear power stations are so wasteful that out of the 25% of efficiency from the plant to your home, three quarters of the energy goes to waste.

Similarly, it takes over 5 million joules of energy to make 1 fizzy drink can and we throw away 700 million of them each year. Now think about what I said. Instead of throwing it away, can’t we use it to our advantage? Recycling is the answer to that. And as for nuclear energy, we need to make the plants more stable. If only the world was at peace, we could have given those Nukes a thought as well; they would come in VERY useful. And recycling empty fizzy drink cans would be a great benefit too. This is all anti-pollution, as I call it. Get what I mean?Cars could be battery-powered, which has been experimented on with successful results. Forests are being replaced with industrial fields. This can be changed.

So can we all, young and old, bow down to God and work together for a better, much greater… future for our children? We don't inherit the Earth from our parents, we borrow it for our children.

Thank you and Have a Good Day.

A Blessing in Disguise

An Un-Expected Visitor
It was a beautiful morning. Mr. Grafton came for a walk in the garden. He was a man with no wife and had no children of his own. All was well until he came back to the house. There in the living room itself a man was sitting impatiently on the sofa. Grafton dropped the empty water bottle he was holding and stared mouth opened at the visitor.

An Unpleasant Talk
He was a man with the arms and chest of a Hercules. He looked surprisingly handsome and Grafton saw murder in his eyes. “Wh-who are you?" Grafton stammered. “I am Giuseppe Gorgiano, from the Red Circle.” the Grafton stared at Gorgiano in absolute horror. “Not the-”  “That’s right. I’m the one who has killed 50 people. You're going to be the 51st.” Gorgiano said. “If you think you can finish me off, then meet me at my house tomorrow in Boston. You’ll find it easily if you enter from the east entry. It’s the first house on the left.”

A Surprising Shock
Early next morning Grafton set out in search of Gorgiano with a few constables. Grafton did exactly as Gorgiano had told him and found that his house was much larger than his own. Grafton’s little squad noticed that the door was locked from the inside. They broke the door and rushed inside. It was very dark inside the house so they switched on their torches ready for any surprise. They found Gorgiano’s room and it was not locked. So they opened it and to their astonishment they saw Giuseppe Gorgiano lying dead on the floor. His knees were drawn up, his hands thrown out in agony and from the centre of his broad, upturned throat there projected the white haft of a knife driven blade-deep into his body.

Chapter 4: How did it happen?
A confusion of voices arose. “A scandal will be raised if people know of this.” one of the constables said. “How did it happen?” everybody started asking. Grafton ordered everybody to split up and search the whole house thoroughly.
While they were searching the house they heard a blood-curdling scream. Shivers went down everyone’s spine.

This is not the end, this is Just the beginning
“Everybody stick close.” Grafton shouted. When they went to the source of the sound they saw Frank, one of the constables lying dead on the floor. Suddenly, the lights started working again. Then everyone saw it. A banshee, more like a ghost was hovering in mid-air. Everybody started shooting at it but it merely laughed. I wouldn’t call it a laugh but a scream. “Run!!!” Grafton shouted to everyone. They all ran but they were all murdered by the banshee. In the end only Grafton was left. The lights went out. He tried to switch on his torch again but it suddenly exploded. Without knowing it he ran into Gorgiano’s room. The door suddenly shut. He tried to get out by the window until he found out that there were none.

A Narrow Escape
You are a brave little nut aren’t you?” said a voice out of nowhere. “Who is this?” asked Grafton in a trembling voice even though he knew who it was. “You know who it is. Really, there is no use playing games boy. It is I, the-
But the banshee’s words were suddenly cut short by a horrible noise. She then realized what had happened and fell to the ground, lifeless. Grafton had run right through her, which was the only thing that could weaken her and destroy her. Grafton felt like ice when he passed through her.

And He Lived Icily Ever After
A man, who was playing with his son near the house, heard the noise and carried Grafton to the hospital. Grafton lived, but the fate of Giuseppe Gorgiano and Grafton’s companions always haunted his memory. He did not live for long, but he did live 6 years before he gave up and killed himself in a traffic accident.
